Child Protection Policy

Aura is built for adults. This policy sets out our zero-tolerance stance on child endangerment and exactly how we act on it.

1Section 1

Zero tolerance for child endangerment

Aura Dating is an adults-only service. We have a zero-tolerance policy towards child sexual abuse material (CSAM), child endangerment, grooming, and any attempt by a minor to access the platform.

Strictly 18+

Nobody under the age of 18 is permitted to create an account, join the waitlist, or use any part of the Services.

2Section 2

How we keep minors off Aura

  • Date of birth is mandatory at sign-up; anyone under 18 is blocked from registering.
  • Because astrological insights require birth details, mismatched or suspicious age data is flagged for review.
  • We may request government-issued photo ID where an account is suspected of belonging to a minor.
  • Accounts confirmed or reasonably suspected to belong to a minor are terminated and their data deleted.
3Section 3

Prohibited content and behaviour

  • Uploading, sharing, requesting or linking to child sexual abuse material in any form.
  • Sexualised depictions of minors, including drawn, edited or AI-generated imagery.
  • Grooming, solicitation of a minor, or attempting to arrange contact with a minor.
  • Using images of children in profile photos in a sexualised or misleading manner.
  • Facilitating child trafficking, exploitation or abuse of any kind.

Violations result in immediate and permanent account termination, preservation of evidence, and reporting to law enforcement.

4Section 4

We do not knowingly collect children’s data

We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected such data, we delete it promptly. Parents or guardians who believe a child has provided us with personal information should contact us immediately — see our Privacy Policy for details on data handling and deletion.

5Section 5

How to report a concern

If you encounter a suspected minor, suspected grooming, or any child-safety concern on Aura, report it immediately using the in-app report option or by emailing us. Include profile details, screenshots and any relevant context.

Reports involving child safety are prioritised and reviewed by our team as an emergency. If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local police, or in India call the national child helpline 1098.

6Section 6

What we do when we find a violation

  • Immediate suspension and permanent removal of the account.
  • Preservation of account data and content as evidence.
  • Reporting to the appropriate law-enforcement authorities and child-protection agencies.
  • Blocking of associated devices, payment identifiers and contact details from re-registering.
  • Full cooperation with lawful requests from investigating authorities.
7Section 7

Changes to this policy

We review this policy regularly and may update it to reflect new safety practices, product changes or legal requirements. The latest version always appears on this page.
